Delivery problems with Philip Morris cigarettes in Austria

Austria’s tobacco market leader Philip Morris is currently struggling with delivery problems. “There have been isolated problems for almost two weeks,” says a company spokesman, loudly Crown newspaper. The Marlboro, L&M and Chesterfield brands are affected. In a letter to the tobacconists that the Krone is available, Philip Morris says that the cigarettes cannot be replenished for at least two weeks.

The situation is exacerbated by material bottlenecks and stagnant supply chains, which affect large parts of the economy. Philip Morris “Tschik” could also become scarce in Germany. The report says that the second largest domestic manufacturer, JTI (Austria Tabak), currently has no problems with availability.
