Dear fuel, without interventions towards the blockade of road transport

The entire category of national road haulage is oriented towards blocking of road transport services. This is what emerged from meetings held over the weekend across the country as part of the initiative Backward with assemblies convened in one hundred Italian squares. The request is unique: structured businesses medium and small sizes ask in unison suspension of transport services.

Among the factors defined as “disruptive” by companies in the sector is the attitude, judged “irresponsible”, of client which determines a reduction of up to 40 cents a litre and the lack of attention on the part of the Government which, according to what was declared by Minister Bear would have “already taken decisions in favor of the sector”. The category, however, notes that it is not aware of any concrete measure.

Critical issues and speculative phenomena in road transport

Added to this are other critical issues also highlighted by Codacons: while on the one hand the companies are heavily penalizedon the other hand there is the persistence of speculative phenomena and the achievement of greater revenues both for some operators and for thetreasury. In this context of growing tension, Backward therefore highlights how “desolating” it is poor responsibility on the part of the client, who exploits the difficult situation to increase profits and, at the same time, the superficiality of the Government, which would not have activated any comparison table.

Towards the decision on the national road transport shutdown

According to the coordination of the national road transport associations chaired by the FAI President Paolo Uggè“such conditions of irresponsibility and superficiality now risk impacting the entire country”. Friday April 17 il Unatras national executive committee in fact he will be called to rule on the shutdown of servicesstarting the procedures foreseen for the block.
