“We can’t ask for more”: the Argentine sunflower is experiencing a boom with firm prices for the producer, rising global demand and records in the chain

In an international context marked by a shortage of supply, the Argentine sunflower is going through one of the most favorable moments in its recent history.

“The price is very good because practically we have remained the only suppliers in the world of crude oil of sunflower at the moment,” he stated. The situation responds to the exit of the main competitors from the market, Russia and Ukraine, which have already sold all of their production. Both countries also recorded a joint loss of around 1.7 million tons compared to the previous cycle.
