Apple, Cook will resign in September. In its place Ternus

Apple announced that Tim Cook will become Executive Chairman of Apple’s board of directors and that John Ternuscurrent senior vice president ofHardware Engineeringwill become the next one CEO of the company from September 1st.

The transition, approved unanimously by the board of directors, is the result of a planning process succession and long term. Cook, Apple explained, will continue in the role Ceo throughout the summer, working closely with Ternus to ensure a smooth transition.
