Apple will pay up to NIS 1,890 to Israeli customers in iPhone slowdown case

The Tel Aviv District Court has approved a settlement in five representative claims against Apple in Israel for allegedly slowing down certain iPhone models through software updates.

As part of the agreement, Apple, without admitting guilt, will pay 10 million shekels to owners of devices that meet three criteria in total: model – iPhone SE, 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7 or 7 Plus; before December 21, 2017, iOS 10.2.1 or iOS 11.2 was installed and activated on the device; When registering in Apple systems, Israel was selected as the country – regardless of the place of purchase.

To apply, you must fill out an online form on a special website.

The plaintiffs’ attorneys’ fees will be about 2.4 million shekels, and the remuneration for the filers of representative claims will be 400 thousand shekels.
