The government expanded the activities of Netivei Gas HaTivi to Judea and Samaria

At the last government meeting, a decision was approved that will allow Netivei Gas HaTiwi Le-Israel (Israel Natural Gas Lines, or INGL) to operate in Judea and Samaria, creating infrastructure for the transportation and distribution of natural gas in the region.

According to Hayom, the company’s charter and objectives will be adjusted so that it can develop and operate natural gas systems also in other areas under the responsibility or control of the State of Israel, in accordance with the legislation in force there.

As part of this move, the company’s mandate was expanded to include the ability to operate in Judea and Samaria. The Energy Ministry explained that the decision is aimed at continuing the development of natural gas infrastructure and expanding Israel’s energy sector.

Estimates estimate that the creation of gas infrastructure in the region should lead to lower energy costs for businesses, businesses and industry, as well as promote economic growth, job creation and improved air quality.
