During the night, Asian markets mainly saw an increase.
Japan’s Nikkei index was a strong bet with an increase of around three percent. In Japan, an additional budget intended to protect households from inflation was announced, and the total amount of government bond issuance was kept unchanged. The semiconductor sector was in high demand: Tokyo Electron was up 13 percent.
In Taiwan, the TAIEX index was up by about two percent.
The Hang Seng index was down by one and a half percent.
The South Korean market was closed.
Globally, stock markets have risen to new records as investors’ interest in artificial intelligence stocks accelerates. The MSCI All Country World index, which describes the global stock market, rose to record highs. Tuesday was the fifth consecutive trading day in which the three main Wall Street indexes set new closing records.
The yen strengthened slightly against both the dollar and the euro. The dollar strengthened slightly against the euro.
One euro equals $1.16. The dollar gave 159.89 yen.
European and American stock index futures were in a slight decline.
