All the news and great confirmations of the Mediaset schedule

From the new film by Checco Zalone to the dramas dedicated to Carlo Acutis, passing through the great show-events, the return of “Super Karaoke” and new entertainment and in-depth programmes. With the natural confirmation of enormously successful programs such as “La Ruota della Fortuna” which, quoting the words of Pier Silvio Berlusconi on stage, “has somewhat changed the destinies and proportions of Italian television”. These are some of the main new features of the Mediaset schedules presented during the meeting with the press. The group’s objective is to consolidate its leadership in generalist television by simultaneously focusing on Italian cinema, original productions, major television events and an offering that is increasingly integrated with digital, keeping the brands that have driven ratings and advertising revenue at the center of the editorial strategy in recent years.

On the cinema front, Medusa will continue to invest in Italian productions. Among the most anticipated titles is “Buen Camino”, the new film by Checco Zalone, fresh from extraordinary numbers at the box office. Also arriving is the new film by Ficarra and Picone, the third chapter of the “Benvenuti al Sud” saga with Alessandro Siani, the new project by Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo and a new episode of “Spies by chance” with Lillo and Christian De Sica. Cinema thus remains one of the pillars of Mediaset’s strategy, which confirms its desire to invest in the main protagonists of Italian comedy and in productions destined to become television events after being released in cinemas.

 

 

The new fiction

The fiction offering is also wide. He will return with the third season “Viola come il mare”, which will confirm the preview distribution on Infinitywhile the new releases include “My name is Carlo”, dedicated to the figure of Carlo Acutis, the new chapter of “A testa alta” with Sabrina Ferilli, “A beautiful world” and “Erica, a detective by chance” with Vanessa Incontrada, “The labyrinth of butterflies” with Can Yaman, “Madre Terra” with Cristiano Caccamo and the second season of “Una nuova vita” with Anna Valle. Also in development are two new projects with Gabriel Garko and Raoul Bova and the new series “Alex Bravo”, centered on an unconventional policeman.

Furthermore, with “My name is Carlo”, the group aims to start a line of productions dedicated to great characters, destined to develop in the coming seasons as well.

Entertainment

On the entertainment front, Mediaset confirms its main flagship programmes, from “Big Brother VIP” to “L’Isola dei Famosi”, which will have renewed hosting entrusted to Selvaggia Lucarellias well as “The record show”, “Scherzi a parte”, “Zelig”, “Battiti Live” and all Maria De Filippi’s programmes: “Tu Sì que vales”, “C’è posta per te”, “Amici” and “Temptation Island”. Among the new features will be the debut of “1% Club”, an international game show hosted by Michelle Hunziker in prime time, and “El Desafío”, an adaptation of the Spanish format that will put famous people with physical and mental challenges to the test.

The event shows

Alongside traditional formats, Mediaset also focuses on so-called “event shows”, defined as “light shots” because they are designed to light up the schedule with special events distributed throughout the season. These are original productions, not simple adaptations of international formats, with which the group aims to strengthen the identity of its offering. These include a special dedicated to Eros Ramazzotti with the last stage of his World Tour, the return of “Super Karaoke”, new appointments with “This Is Me” by Silvia Toffanin, a Christmas show with Giorgio Panariello, “Taratata” with Paolo Bonolis, the new program with Pio and Amedeo, “Un Paese, mille canzones” with Pooh, scheduled for spring 2027, and “Viva Napoli”, dedicated to the Neapolitan song with Gigi D’Alessio, scheduled for the autumn of the same year. Also on the calendar are consolidated shows, such as those with Il Volo, and new productions such as “Dive”, dedicated to the great icons of Italian music. “The champion’s wheel” and the return of the show with Gigi D’Alessio and Vanessa Incontrada complete the offer.

Daytime

The daytime offering also remains essentially unchanged, with the main programs confirmed and new game shows in development, including the return of “Ok, the price is right!” and a new format inspired by “Passaparola”, confirming the desire to strengthen a segment that has recorded constant growth in recent years.

For in-depth analysis, “Risiko – Challenges of power” debuts, a program by Federico Rampini divided into four episodes in the autumn and another four in the following season, with particular attention to the major geopolitical scenarios and the midterm elections in the United States.

Italia 1, cinema and sport

Cinema and sport will continue to be central on Italia 1. The network, alternating with Canale 5, will broadcast the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup, while the main new features of the sports offering include the tennis ATP Finals, which will further enrich the network’s schedule.

Network 4

Rete 4, however, confirms the current information offer in prime time and introduces two new features: “I Giganti”, a program by Toni Capuozzo dedicated to the great protagonists of history, from the Kennedys to Queen Elizabeth to Leonardo da Vinci, and a new current affairs and entertainment format entrusted to Milo Infante, who will also host a daily slot from 11am to 1pm. Also confirmed are Paolo Del Debbio’s programmes, “4 in the evening” and “Realpolitik” by Thomas Labate.
