64 settlements in Judea and Samaria received tax breaks

The Tax Administration notified residents of 64 localities in Judea and Samaria that they were entitled to a tax deduction in the amount of 7% of the first NIS 146,640 of annual income.

The benefit was approved by the Knesset about a month ago and came into force retroactively from January 1, 2026.

The provision of the benefit was initiated by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and his party MP Zvi Sukkot. The settlements received the right to the benefit as being located in a security threat zone, on the same basis as the settlements of the confrontation line in the north and the vicinity of the Gaza Strip in the south.
