The 2026 Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) recorded a record of more than 2.72 million visitors, an increase of nearly 45% compared to last year thanks to a series of explosive closing night events.
On July 12, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city announced statistics on the occasion of DIFF 2026 with the theme “Da Nang – Connecting Horizons”, taking place from May 30 to July 11. Accordingly, the total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments reached more than 2.72 million, an increase of nearly 45% compared to the 2025 festival. During the 6 days of the event alone, the city served 688,500 visitors.
On the final night of July 11, general room occupancy at hotels in the city center including Hai Chau, Hoa Cuong, Son Tra, An Hai, and Ngu Hanh Son wards reached 95-98%, recording the highest rate for 4 consecutive years from the 2023 DIFF season.

In the end, team Macedos Pirotecnia (Portugal) won the Champion title, with a reward worth 20,000 USD (equivalent to 520 million VND). Team Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd (China) won the runner-up prize with a reward worth 10,000 USD.
The organizing committee also awarded the “Creativity” award to the Martarello Group SRL team (Italy); “Promising” award for Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks team (Japan). Team Da Nang (Vietnam) received the “Audience’s Favorite” award. Each prize is worth 5,000 USD (equivalent to 130 million VND).
On the closing day of July 11, accommodation establishments welcomed 131,000 visitors, an increase of 16% over the same period last year. International visitors reached 52,400 (an increase of 27%), domestic visitors reached 78,600 (an increase of nearly 10%). Room occupancy across the city reached about 85%, up 6.3% over the same period.
For 4-5 star hotels, the capacity reaches 80-85%, especially the frontage area of Vo Nguyen Giap street and hotels near the stands and fireworks display areas reach 95-100%. Blocks of 3 stars and below reach 85-90% capacity, coastal areas and along the Han River reach more than 95-100%.
Airlines also increased their capacity to welcome the flow of tourists. On July 10 and July 11, the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang reached 365, an increase of 8% over the same period in 2025. The average frequency of operation reached 183 flights per day, an increase of 16 flights.
Overall, during the 6 nights of the festival and the days immediately preceding it, the total number of domestic and international flights reached more than 1,900 flights, an increase of 7% over the same period in 2025. The average frequency reached 163 flights per day, an increase of 11 flights per day.
