Stock investment boss: In Nokia, the most important thing seems to be happening now

Network equipment company Nokia published its results report for April–June on Thursday morning, based on which the most important point seems to be realized, estimates OP-Pohjolan equity investment manager Juuso Kenkkilä Directly from Kauppalehti In the Talousamau program on Thursday.

“The most important thing is that Nokia becomes a fast-growing company again. It seems to be happening,” Kenkkilä said.

Nokia’s turnover increased to 4.8 billion euros in April–June from 4.4 billion a year ago.

According to Nokia’s report, sales to artificial intelligence and cloud service customers grew by a whopping 105 percent from last year. In January–March, the turnover of the customers in question increased by 49 percent.

In addition to growth, another important thing is profitability, according to Kenkkilä.

“The share is no longer cheap. On the other hand, in addition to growth, you also have to show an improvement in margins. And now Nokia shows that it delivers that quite well too, because the margins rose well,” Kenkkilä said.

Nokia’s comparable operating profit rose to 434 million euros from 367 million euros. Analysts predicted 385 million euros.

After 11 a.m., Nokia’s share price rose by more than a percent.

Thursday’s Economic Morning was hosted by a journalist Sini Törrönen.
