The Israeli distributor of alcoholic beverages A.G.T.D filed a lawsuit in the Tel Aviv District Court against the Ukrainian group Global Spirits, as well as against the Customs and VAT Department.

The subject of the claim is the import and sale in Israel of counterfeit bottles of vodka with a registered trademark owned by the plaintiff.

Let us recall that at the end of July 2026, the Supreme Court put an end to the long-term litigation between A.G.T.D and Global Spirits regarding the termination of the contract in 2019, obliging the Ukrainian company to pay the Israeli $500 thousand in compensation and 300 thousand shekels in legal costs.

In the new lawsuit, A.G.T.D. claims that after gaining ownership of the trademark, the company invested resources in preparing the brand for its re-launch in Israel. According to the lawsuit, despite this, counterfeit bottles of vodka with a trademark belonging to her were imported and sold into the country.
