Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk included in the list of the best tourist villages in the world for 2026

The UN World Tourism Organization has completed its review of applications for the World’s Best Tourist Village 2026 competition and has selected the final list of winners, which will be officially announced in September.

This year’s list will again feature an Israeli entry: Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk, founded in 1938 by immigrants from Lithuania and the Czech Republic as a “wall and tower” settlement and named after Tomas Masaryk, the first president of Czechoslovakia.

The kibbutz, located on the Naaman stream between Acre and Kiryat Haim, already applied in 2023, but was not selected then.

The first Israeli representative on the list was the Circassian village of Kfar Kama, and in 2025 the kibbutz Neot Smadar was added to the list.
