Tel Aviv ranked second in the world in terms of the cost of utilities, second only to Berlin. This is evidenced by a study conducted by Deutsche Bank and cited by Deutsche Welle. The top three is completed by the Norwegian city of Oslo.
German economists compared the monthly costs of water supply, sewerage, electricity and garbage disposal for maintaining an apartment with an area of 85 square meters. The amount was converted into euros at the exchange rate on August 28.
In Berlin, costs are 353 euros, which is only 12 euros per month more than in Tel Aviv. Next come Oslo, London, Edinburgh, Munich, Frankfurt am Main, Warsaw, Vienna and Birmingham. Thus, there are three German cities in the top ten.
