Admont Abbey: The only Austrian resort in the world-class ranking

The interior of the world’s largest Monastery library im Benediktinerstift Admont (Liezen district in Upper Austria) has been awarded. According to a current international study, the Admont monastery library is one of the top 20 most beautiful interiors of the world.

With 17th place and 77.7 out of 100 points, the world’s largest monastery library is the only one Austrian Representatives in the world’s top field. This means that Admont joins a selection of exceptional cultural and architectural sites from all over the world. The award falls in the anniversary year of 250th anniversary the library (completed in 1776).

This is stated Ranking from the monastery library St. Gallen in Switzerland, followed by Mysore-Palast in India and the Budapest Parliament. In total, eight European interiors made it into the top 20.

The one from the travel insurance specialist AllClear An international study conducted examined the effect of significant Interiors on viewer. From these results, those places were identified that are particularly fascinating and attract a lot of attention.
