Air India to resume flights to Israel from December 1

Indian airline Air India will resume direct flights between New Delhi and Tel Aviv from December 1, 2026. We are talking about the return of the only direct air service between Israel and India at the moment. PassportNews reports this.

The company plans to operate five flights per week. In December, flights will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from January the frequency should increase to five flights per week. Travel time from Tel Aviv to New Delhi will be approximately 5 hours 45 minutes.

Air India also plans to operate a shortened route that does not fly over states hostile to Israel. The carrier’s return will once again give Israeli passengers direct access not only to India, but also to Air India’s extensive network of connecting flights to Asia and Australia.

Air India has repeatedly delayed its return to Israel. Back in August, passengers who purchased tickets for October flights received notices of their cancellation. Tickets for flights from December 1st are now available in the Air India booking system.
