Israel unveils new HawkGuard drone interception system

The Israeli Aviation Industry (IAI) has unveiled its new HawkGuard anti-drone system, which has successfully completed a series of tests. As reported by Aviation Defense Universe with reference to the company’s press release, the system is designed to protect military units and strategic facilities from attacking drones.

The main feature of HawkGuard is that to destroy an enemy drone, another drone is used, which hits the target with a direct collision, without a warhead or explosives.

The system uses radar and optical-electronic detection means, as well as artificial intelligence technologies to track and intercept targets.

The new HawkGuard system is presented at the international defense exhibition AUSA 2026, which opened on October 12 in Washington and will last until October 14.
