Taillights of more than 320,000 Teslas must be repaired via software update

Due to issues with the operation of the back lights, Tesla had to update more than 321,000 vehicles in the US. A file with the watchdog National Highway Traffic Safety Administration makes this clear.

Rarely, a software flaw may cause the lights on one or both sides of the affected Model 3 and Model Y vehicles to randomly illuminate. This may make it harder to see in the dark.

Following driver concerns, a recall was issued. Due to the issue, there wouldn’t be any reports of accidents, injuries, or fatalities. Tesla will remotely update the software on the vehicles.
