The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Science create a consortium to develop an Israeli quantum computer

The Department of Innovation at the Ministry of Science and the Department of Weapons Development at the Ministry of Defense (MAPAT) will issue an invitation in the coming days to participate in a consortium to develop an Israeli quantum computer.

Both structures will allocate together 200 million shekels to finance the consortium.

The created consortium will cooperate with universities and research centers, dealing with all aspects of creating a quantum computer, including hardware, control, optimization, algorithms, interface, etc.

It should be noted that the funding for the consortium is in addition to the NIS 1.25 billion national quantum technology development program launched two years ago.
