French customs confiscated the yacht of the head of Rosneft Sechin

Economics and Finance Minister Bruno La Mer said that French customs officials had confiscated the Amore Vero yacht, allegedly owned by Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, in the Mediterranean port of La Ciotat.

The yacht with a displacement of 2800 tons and a length of 86 meters was built in 2013. Its cost is about 120 million dollars. It was originally called St. Princess Olga in honor of the oligarch’s wife. After the Sechins’ divorce, the yacht received a new name – “True Love”.

Earlier, another Russian oligarch, Alisher Usmanov, was arrested in Germany. The cost of the giant ship is 600 million dollars, and the length is 150 meters. Since the end of September, the yacht has been at the shipyard of the German shipbuilding company Blohm + Voss in Hamburg, where it has been modernized.

More than a week before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Graceful yacht, which is said to be owned by Russian President Vladimir Putin, left Hamburg. The rapid return to Russia was due to fears that it could fall under sanctions.
