Chris Peeters of Elia elected Manager of the Year 2021

Chris Peeters, the CEO of high-voltage grid operator Elia Group, has been elected Trends Manager of the Year 2021. The jury awarded the award for the 37th time on Wednesday evening in Brussels Expo. Peeters succeeds Dirk Coorevits of Soudal on the honors list.

Economic weekly Trends, in collaboration with business channel Kanaal Z, annually awards the trophy to a manager who has made a valuable contribution to the Flemish economy with his or her company and has thus played a pioneering role. Prime Minister Alexander De Croo (Open VLD) announced the winner.

The other nominees were Jacques Vandermeiren of Antwerp Port Authority, Anita Van Looveren of OMP, Stefaan Gielens of Aedifica and Lieve Mostrey of Euroclear.

On the French-speaking side, Sébastien Dossogne of the globally active industrial company Magotteaux won the argument. The top man of the company, specialized in products for grinding or crushing materials, follows on the honor roll of the ‘Trends Manager de l’Année’ Fabien Pinckaers of software Odoo. The prize was awarded by sister magazine Trends-Tendances.
