Easter spending at risk. On March 30th the strike of large-scale retail workers

Boycott purchases in large chains on the eve of Easter. This is the invitation that comes from the Filcams-Cgil, Fisascat – Cisl and UIltucs unions against the breakdown of negotiations with Federdistribuzione for the renewal of the National Labor Contract which expired in 2019.

“After years, the arrogance of organized Modern Distribution does not wane, on the contrary it becomes more acute” writes Filcams Cgil in the flyer it is circulating to spread the word about the strike scheduled for March 30th which will involve more of 240 thousand employees which include local mobilizations and flash mobs for the day.

Workers’ organizations loudly stigmatize “the intolerance of Federdistribuzione towards contracts”, they proclaimed a day of strike “implemented by abstaining from work for the entire work shift”. The basis of the mobilization is “the irresponsibility of Federdistribuzione” in presenting “various requests aimed at sabotaging rights and guarantees currently contained in the National Collective Labor Agreement and which the workers of commercial distribution have achieved at the cost of sacrifices and struggles in the over the last few decades.”

The unions invite “give up” shopping for the day in branded stores: Acqua e Sapone; Action; A&O Supermarkets; Arcaplanet; Bennett; Brico Center; Brico ; Cadoro supermarkets; Carrefour; C&A; Coin; Conbipel; Conforama; Coralis; Crai; Despar supermarkets; DM Drogherie Markt; Douglas; Long S; Etruria Retail; Famila supermarkets; Ikea; In’s Market; Hypermarkets; Italmark; Jysk; Kasanova; Kiko Milan; Leroy Merlin; Lidl; Marr; Coop Master Alliance 3.0; Max&Co; Max Mara; Meter; Oasi, Tigre, Magazzini Gabrielli; Obi; Ovs Spa; Pam Panorama Spa; Penny Market; Percassi; Prix Quality Spa; Rinascente; Selex Gruppo Commerciale Spa; Sidis; Superaccounts; Tecnomat; Unes Supermarkets; Uniqlo; Vegè Group; ITX Italy: Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home.
