Spain | The Treasury will enter 18.9 billion in the 2023 Income campaign, 12% more

The Tax Agency has given the starting signal to the 2023-2024 Income Tax campaign this Wednesday with the opening of the deadline to submit the personal income tax (IRPF) declaration online. The Treasury expects nearly 23.2 million declarations, of which the vast majority—63%—will be returned for an approximate amount of 11,650 million euros, almost 2% less than a year ago. The rest, some seven million taxpayers, will have income of 18,908 million euros, a sharp increase of 12.2% compared to last year’s campaign.

Returns, as usual, will begin in just 48 hours from the beginning of the appointment with the agency, that is, this Friday. For their part, taxpayers with results to be deposited will not have to make their first payments until the end of the campaign, which this year ends on July 1.
