According to Purra, the declaration text presented did not mention sufficiently clearly the war of aggression launched by Russia in Ukraine and its effects, and therefore Finland could not accept the text.

Finland did not approve a joint statement with the other Nordic and Baltic countries at the spring meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said the finance minister Riikka Purra (ps) at his press conference on Friday evening. The joint statement was not issued at the meeting, as it should have been unanimous.

According to Purra, the declaration text presented did not mention sufficiently clearly the war of aggression launched by Russia in Ukraine and its effects, and therefore Finland could not accept the text. Last fall, Finland also did not accept the proposed IMF statement.
