Kauppalehti's election machine has been opened – Find your candidate for the European elections

Kauppalehti’s European Parliament election machine is now open.

The new European Parliament will be elected in the European elections, the actual voting day of which is June 9. Kauppalehti’s European election machine has been opened and helps in choosing a candidate.

There are 20 statements in the election machine, to which 160 different European election candidates have already answered. When you answer the claims yourself, you will see which of the candidates – and which of the parties – is best aligned with you.

The voting machine is an excellent aid for making a voting decision. You can also get to the voting machine from here.

Four themes

The claims of the Eurovalekone are divided into four different topics. They are EU operations, foreign and security policy, environment and climate, and values.

The diverse selection of statements gives a comprehensive picture of the candidates’ thoughts, values and political line.

You can answer the statements either “completely disagree”, “disagree”, “neutral”, “agree” or “completely agree”. The more statements you answer, the more accurate results you get about the suitability of the candidates.

When you have answered the statements, on the results page you will see the candidates and parties that suit you best, as well as the least suitable. In addition, you can see the ranking of both your own and the candidates most suitable for you on the value map, which measures the ranking on the conservative-liberal and right-left axes. If you wish, you can also get to know the candidates’ answers in more detail.

You can also use the voting machine without answering the statements yourself. From the front page of the election machine, you can directly look at the value map of the parties or compare different candidates, and you can also directly search for individual candidates and get to know their answers.

Euro elections schedules
