The seduction of the classic at the Royal Palace of Palermo

Syncretic fusion between the Federico II Foundation of Palermo and the Pinacoteca di Brera that seals the meeting between two apparently distant worlds inextricably linked by art. Sculptural masterpieces by Canova, Pandiani, Magni and Spertini, exhibited in the “Royal Apartments” of the Royal Palace of Palermo, trigger emotions thanks to the classical roots of sculptural art. The exhibition entitled “La Grande Brera al Palazzo Reale di Palermo. La seduzione del classico in mostra”, invites visitors on a journey into the world of Lombard Neoclassicism with works that have not left Milan for 122 years. The richness of the decorations of the Royal Palace enters, as in a game, between the purity of the sculptures and the chromaticity of the exhibition spaces.
