The “One Who Knows” star has disappeared and her family blames the husband: “He is very suspicious”

The family of “Gossip Girl” star Chanel Maya Banks is desperately searching for the actress after she mysteriously disappeared in Los Angeles two weeks ago – and claims that her husband is not cooperating with the police.The last sign of life received from the 36-year-old actress was on October 30, when she sent a message to her cousin, Daniel-Tori Singh, who is now leading a fundraising campaign and working with police in hopes of her return.

 

Chanel lived in an apartment in Playa Vista with her husband for one year, before her family members suddenly stopped hearing from her and became concerned. “Five days without hearing from my cousin is a bright red flag. She doesn’t go more than 48 hours without talking to me or her mother,” said Daniel.

 

Daniel revealed that Chanel’s husband did not cooperate with the family and the police. “He is very suspicious,” she said. “He is not ready to help the Los Angeles police, he is not ready to help me or her mother. He removes leaflets from poles and cars. When we met him we noticed that he had a split lip and marks and scratches on his neck and arms.”

 

 

 

“We asked him where Chanel is, and all he keeps saying is ‘she doesn’t want to be found, she’ll reach out when she’s ready,'” added Daniel. “He claims he doesn’t know where she is, he says he hasn’t seen or heard from her since November 7, but he never called the police to say she was missing.”

She revealed that both she and Chanel’s mother, Judy, were able to gain access to her apartment last Sunday. When they entered the apartment, they found that her belongings were still there, including her dog and car. However, her phone and laptop have not been found. “She doesn’t go anywhere without her dog. This dog is by her side for emotional support,” said Daniel.

Chanel Banks is remembered from the series “One Who Knows” where she played Jenny Humphrey’s friend, she also played in the series “Suits” and the movie “12”. She married her husband last year in November and recently stepped away from her acting career to focus on writing. Police said they conducted four welfare checks this month alone. Banks was not home on either occasion, they said.
