After more than a year of dating – Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (30) proposed marriage to Israeli model Mishel Gerzig (25), who of course answered in the affirmative.
Today (Saturday) pictures of the couple on a yacht, in which Courtois was seen kneeling on one knee, were published on Spanish websites, and immediately afterwards it was reported that the two were engaged. Mazel Tov!
Just a week ago, the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool took place, and Courtois was crowned the outstanding player after helping Real win the title – and Gerzig was of course in the podium, filming and getting excited, alongside his two children from his former partner.
The two met on Instagram a year and a half ago through mutual friends. He sent her a message, they started corresponding, and in April 2021 she arrived in Madrid for filming. By the end of July he had already offered her to move in with him and since then the photogenic relationship has been starring in sports and gossip columns all over the world. From the beginning it was clear that this was a serious relationship – the two have a joint tattoo: on his hand is tattooed in Hebrew “I love you” in Gerzig’s handwriting while she has ‘Te Amo’ in his handwriting.
