Shortly before the anniversary of the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp, activists are calling on the Internet under the slogan “Keffiyahs in Buchenwald” to use the memorial day to protest against German Middle East policy. They come across a memorial that was already criticized last year because, according to an internal handout for employees, Palestinian scarves and even phrases like “Stop the Genocide” were allegedly unwelcome there.
