BookTok arrives in Italy, from social networks to bookstores

TikTok portal in Italy #BookTok Bestseller Listthe monthly ranking that captures the most successful titles created or relaunched by the platform’s community of readers. The announcement comes on the occasion of World Book Day and copyright and marks the extension of a launched project to the Italian market for the first time in Germany in 2023 together with Media Control.

For Italy, the ranking will be built by cross-referencing the platform’s insights with the sales data of NielsenIQ BookData. There news also concerns bookshops: the books that enter the #BookTok Bestseller List each month can be marked with official #BookTok stickers, so as to make them immediately recognisable both in physical stores and in online stores.
