The Reina Sofía Higher School of Music and the EDP Foundation will host the absolute premiere of the opera on May 7 ‘Whiskey on Kepler: Refugees in space’.
This is a new event of the EDP GREEN STAGE project, created to promote dialogue between art and sustainability through support for scenic proposals committed to the environment.
Before the premiere, there will be a piano recital by the young Shinyoung Lee, a student at the School, with works by Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Janácek and Chopin.
This will be followed by the premiere of ‘Whiskey on Kepler: Refugees in space’the work of the Ferrando Brothers and one of the winning proposals of the first EDP GREEN STAGE call.
Precisely, it is an opera with electronic music that focuses on the need for the human species to search for new worlds in which to survive. The work follows the adventure of the first human being on Kepler, where he must demonstrate his humanity, the School explains.
