Full in the Porticada to witness the lyrical concert of the Royal Theater Carriage

The Plaza Porticada in Santander was full this Saturday for the lyrical concert offered by La Carroza del Teatro Real, starring five young artists from the Crescendo program.

The protagonists were the soprano Rosa Gomariz, the mezzo-soprano Yeraldín León, the tenor Eduardo Pomares, the baritone Alejandro von Büren and the pianist Carolina Hernández, who performed works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giuseppe Verdi, Camille Saint-Saens, Léo Delibes, Georges Bizet, Antonín Dvorak, Giacomo Puccini and the Spanish Isaac Albéniz and Pablo Sorozábal.

These young people participated in the Crescendo program of the Friends of the Royal Theater Foundation, which promotes, stimulates and supports the artistic and professional development of singers, pianists and assistant stage managers and which is now celebrating its sixth edition.

Created in 2020, and awarded the European ‘Art Explora’ Academy of Fine Arts Prize 2022, the Rea Theater Float emulates its stage – with its prosceniums, mouthpiece, curtains and backstage – and has been built by transforming a trailer truck like those usually used for the transport and storage of scenery, props and costumes for operas.

Since its first performances, it has offered more than 80 shows in cities throughout Spain, including Santander, where it was already received with great success in April 2024, accumulating more than 100,000 spectators.
