Patty Pravo conquers Brancaccio with the Opera Tour to celebrate 60 years of career

Patty Pravo at the Brancaccio theater in Rome, enchants and entertains. The singer returned to tour after the performance in Sanremo where she performed the song “Opera”, and now performs in various cities. And whoever goes to hear her has the opportunity to attend an elegant, refined concert, made up of songs from the new album and historical pieces from her repertoire masterfully sung with that particular voice of hers that knows no age.

A concert-event for 60 years of career

A concert event that celebrates the 60-year career of the “Piper girl”, supported by the musicians Luca Proietti on keyboards, Daniele Natrella on drums, Giuseppe Iodice and Alessandro Chimienti on guitars, Elisabetta Pasquale on bass and Cristiana Polegri on sax. The audience at the Brancaccio in Rome welcomed the Venetian singer with love and warmth, calling her several times by her real name, Nicoletta (Strambelli ed.), giving her long applause and remembering with her her friend Ornella Vanoni, Ornellik as Pravo affectionately defined her, who paid homage to her Milanese colleague by performing “Ti lascio una canzone”.

Homage to Vanoni, Battisti and timeless classics

“I miss him so much – she said emotionally – as I think you all miss him. I miss the laughs we had, the long chats on the phone.” Homage also to Lucio Battisti, with “Il mio canto libero” with the whole audience standing to sing. And then the cover of Alunni del Sole, “And I miss you so much”. And famous pieces such as “The doll”, “Sad boy”, “Crazy idea”, “And tell me you don’t want to die”, “Wonderful thought”.

The intensity of “I tried everything” and the new album

The interpretation of “Ho prova tutto” is intense, written for her by Francesco Bianconi, frontman of Baustelle and contained in the new album, which represents a clear and explicit photograph of the most intense experiences lived by the artist and outlines her most intimate and personal journey. The songs of Operamixed with historical pieces and presented jokingly and chatting with the audience, gave an hour and a half of beauty, of high-level interpretation by a singer-diva, free and unconventional, who has always followed her intuition, always staying three steps ahead, and who has made her particular voice and profound knowledge of music the secret of her art.

The tour and meetings in the museums

Before leaving with the tour, Patty Pravo presented her work in museums, through four sold-out events. The meetings were held at the Gallerie d’Italia offices in Milan and Naples, at Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence and at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome. On these occasions, Patty Pravo told anecdotes about her career, focusing on the birth of the album, produced by Taketo Gohara, which in almost two years of gestation saw established names of Italian song and young authors of great sensitivity come together. The Opera tour officially started on April 8th.
