Me too -movement became the snow of last winter in Hollywood, says the actor Cate Blanchett.

“It was suppressed very quickly,” Blanchett lamented to The Guardian magazine by. He spoke at a panel discussion at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday.

Blanchett said that during film shoots, he usually checks the number of members of the work group and checks the gender distribution.

“There are 10 women and 75 men every morning,” he said.

Blanchett said he likes men, but in a male-dominated work environment, he finds it a problem that “the jokes start repeating themselves”.

Blanchett has previously pleaded for equality in Cannes. While acting as the chairman of the jury of the film festival in 2018, he participated in the protest on the red carpet.

In the performance, she and 81 other women illustrated the number of female directors who had been selected for the party’s racing series over the years. The number of male instructors in the same period was 1,866.

Blanchett said in Cannes that she is also acting as a director Brady Corbetin (The Brutalist) in the upcoming, so far untitled film. The film, set in the 1970s, also features Selena Gomez and Michael Fassbender.
