Finally: Tom Holland confirms the rumors about him and Zendaya

Tom Holland confirmed for the first time that he and Zendaya got married in secret, in a new interview with Esquire. The 30-year-old actor was asked if he had to explain to his family members that the photos from the wedding, which were generated by AI and circulated on the networks, were not real. His answer was very short: “No, because everyone was there.”

“That’s all you’ll get on the subject,” added Holland, and did not expand beyond that on the wedding itself. On the other hand, he actually spoke quite a bit about Zendaya: “Our profession can create very stressful situations, and it’s really nice to have a foundation of a relationship that will stand the test of time.”

“We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we really understand what it’s like to live this life,” Holland said. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been when I’m with her, and I’ve also never felt so supported and safe. Period.”

Holland and Zendaya, 29, met on the set of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in 2017, but did not make the relationship public until 2021. Wedding rumors intensified in February, when Zendaya was spotted with a gold ring on her finger instead of her five-carat engagement ring. A month later, her longtime stylist, Leo Roach, said on the red carpet of the 2026 SAG Actor Awards: “The wedding already happened. You missed it. It’s totally real.”

In March, when she was a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel show, Zendaya said that a lot of people in her life were angry that they weren’t invited to the wedding, after the fake photos went viral. “People said to me, ‘God, your wedding photos are stunning,’ and I said, ‘Baby, it’s AI.
