“With this exhibition, ATAC wants to recognize the value of sport and community, combining it with the dynamic value of transportation, like sport, in this great city of Rome, together with us and with Federico.” This was stated by ATAC President Barbara Marinali, at the presentation of Ferdinando Mezzelani’s photography exhibition, created in collaboration with ATAC. The exhibition will be open all day on July 30th at the Spagna station on Rome’s Metro A line and, until next October, on one of the trains serving the line, which will be decorated with reproductions of the photos. The initiative, titled “Between Sport and Transport,” highlights some of the moments that have shaped the history of Italian sport, such as the victory in the 2006 World Cup and Sinner’s victory at the Foro Italico International Tennis Tournament.
“Today, together with the great sports photographer Federico Mezzelani, we present a truly unique exhibition, starting with the title ‘Between Sport and Transport,'” he explains, “which combines a beautiful dimension that captures sport in all its most authentic moments, thanks to Federico’s extraordinary eye, and the means of transport.”
“The exhibition will be accessible on this train, which departed today from the Battistini metro station and will run during normal service hours, along the entire A line, until October,” Marinali concludes.
