European the broadcasting union EBU changes the rules of the Eurovision Song Contest so that the winning country in an armed conflict cannot host the contest.
In such a situation, the EBU can conduct an independent safety assessment and choose another member to host.
Also the age limit for artists is increasing. In the future, artists participating in Eurovision must be at least 18 years old on the first day of their audition. Previously, the age limit was 16 years.
In addition, the rules regarding the use of background tapes were specified. Since 1999, only the singer of the show has performed live, other instruments have been prohibited. In the future, the backing tape must not “unreasonably assist” the singer, for example by including pre-recorded vocals that support the live performance.
