The Bayreuth Festival Orchestra will debut in the Royal Theater in his passage through Madrid as part of the tour with which he is celebrating the 150 anniversary of his foundation, where he will offer a concert directed by Pablo Heras-Casado.
So, it will be the next Thursday September 3when the ensemble will give a concert with a program focused on ‘The Ring of the Nibelung’, orchestral and vocal fragments of the operas ‘Rhinegold’, ‘The Valkyrie’, ‘Siegfried’ and ‘The Twilight of the Gods’.
The Bayreuth Festival, created by the compositor Richard Wagner (1813-1883) in order to have a unique place in the world where to interpret and perform their own workshas an orchestra made up of musicians specialized in the composer’s work, selected from different groups in Germany, and some internationally.
In front will be Heras-Casadowith an important professional and emotional link with the Teatro Real – he was the main guest musical director -, who returns to the Madrid coliseum.
