The deadline for receiving poetry collections ends on June 11

The City Council of San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid) has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Radio and Television Corporation (RTVE) to broadcast the XXXIV José Hierro International Poetry Prize and the winning work through its channels, stations and digital platforms.

This was highlighted by the City Council in a statement, in which it detailed that this agreement was signed last Friday to facilitate “greater dissemination of the International Prize and the winning book”, with information coverage in those cultural programs of the entity such as ‘Estación Azul’ (radio), ‘A country to read it’ (television) or ‘Página 2’ (television), among others.

The same agreement also states that a representative of RTVE will participate as a jury in the selection of the award-winning work.

“The City Council is very satisfied with this collaboration in the field of poetry. The José Hierro Prize is an award with international projection that the City Council has the honor of promoting and which is attended by the greatest authors of poetry, with a jury of recognized prestige,” stressed the Councilor for Culture, Marcos Zurita.
