Steve Jobs and Apple, the business card is worth a fortune

A rare Apple Computer business card signed by its founder Steve Jobs (1955-2011), dating back to 1983, was sold by an American auction house, RR Auction of Amherst, New Hampshire, for 181,183 dollars (approximately 168,000 euros). This is a world record for a signed business card.

The white business card, adorned with his well-placed signature, features the iconic “rainbow” version of the Apple “byte” logo and identifies Jobs as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The ticket also lists the address and contact information for the company’s headquarters at the time: 10260 Bandley Drive, Cupertino, California 95014, (408) 996-1010.

“The sale of Steve Jobs’ signed Apple business card for more than $180,000 sets a new standard for autographed business cards. It is a testament to Jobs’ enduring legacy and Apple’s profound impact on the modern world,” said Bobby Livingston, executive vice president of RR Auction. The award was part of the auction in which the “Steve Jobs and the Apple Computer Revolution” catalog was offered. (by Paolo Martini)
