'Ciak, Europe, let's vote!: who are the three winners of the first edition of the competition

The prizes for the first edition of the video contest “CIAK, EUROPA, SI VOTA!”, promoted by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma, the Representation in Italy of the European Commission and the European Parliament – ​​Office in Italy. The contest saw the participation of young filmmakers, video makers, professionals and visual arts enthusiasts, who created a short video aimed at informing and raising awareness among citizens – in particular the younger generations – on the importance of voting during the European elections , scheduled in the twenty-seven Member States of the European Union from 6 to 9 June 2024, in Italy on 8 and 9 June.

A jury, composed of Massimo Pronio (Communications Manager of the Representation in Italy of the European Commission), Alberto D’Argenzio (Office of the European Parliament in Italy and Manager of the LUX Prize of the European public in Italy), Ritalba Mazzara (Representation in Italy of the Commission European Union, Communication Team), Laura Delli Colli (President of the National Union of Italian Film Journalists) and Alexia De Vito (Fondazione Cinema per Roma – Special Projects) awarded the following awards:

1st prize – VOTE. by Romeo Pizzol – who won a prize of 3 thousand euros by the European Commission – Representation in Italy and a free accreditation for the nineteenth edition of the Rome Film Festival by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma, scheduled from 16 to 27 October 2024 (WATCH )

2nd prize – Your vote is your voice by Roberto Fanton – 2 thousand euros by the European Commission – Representation in Italy and a free accreditation for the Rome Film Festival 2024 by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma) – (WATCH)

3rd prize – Settanta 6 Te by Leonardo Terranova – one thousand euros by the European Commission – Representation in Italy and a free accreditation for the Rome Film Festival 2024 by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma) – (WATCH)

The three winning videos will be used for institutional communication campaign activities in the press, television, web and social media.

The jury also considered particularly worthy the works of the verb to vote by Carla Frasca and Europe in your hands by Giulia Zaffino who will receive free accreditation for the 2024 Rome Film Festival from the Fondazione Cinema per Roma.
