Netflix new hit series Baby Reindeer has given rise to a disturbing phenomenon among viewers.

Several British magazines such as The Guardian and The Telegraph have reported that the most ardent viewers of the series based on true events have taken it upon themselves to find out who the real people behind the characters are.

The British series is about a man who is persecuted by a woman. Tarina is an actress-comedian Richard Gaddin created and based on his own experiences.

Gadd on said he was careful and that he made the character of the persecutor very different from his real-life persecutor so that he would not be recognizable.

the internet however, detectives have dug into Gadd’s background and allegedly found out the woman’s identity.

A woman who remains anonymous says Daily Mail magazine that she is the person on whom the character named Martha in the series is based. Also a Scottish paper Daily Record has done a similar interview, but it remains unclear if it is the same woman.

The woman – or women – says that she herself has now become a victim of persecution as a result of the series and that she has received threats. The woman interviewed by the Daily Record says she was involved with Gadd but denies stalking him.

According to the Daily Mail, the woman claims that Gadd used the series to stalk her. Deadline- website, the woman has even received death threats.

In turn, the woman who spoke to The Telegraph says that she was falsely accused of being Martha.

 

 

Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd will also star in the series.

Some thought it was an actor-director Sean Foley, but he and Gadd assured that the suspicion is not true. Foley told the messaging service in X that he reported the threats he received to the police.
