Should eggs be stored in the refrigerator door?

Eggs left in the outside environment for too long can be damaged. The best way to preserve it is to put it in the refrigerator and make sure it is clean and sealed. The refrigerator door is where the temperature often fluctuates when opened, causing eggs to spoil faster. Many families also have the habit of stacking eggs in trays, which can easily fall and break when opening the cabinet.

Ideally, eggs should be stored in paper boxes, specialized plastic boxes or placed in a tray deep inside the cooler to limit cross-contamination with other foods and keep eggs fresh longer.

Egg shells sometimes stick to soil or chicken or duck feces, which can carry disease-causing bacteria. Therefore, before storing, wipe clean gently with a dry paper towel or soft cloth. If the stain is firmly attached, you can quickly wash it under water and then dry it immediately to avoid affecting egg quality.

Eggs are a protein-rich food and contain many essential amino acids. Children can eat one egg a day to supplement choline, supporting brain and cognitive development. Adults should eat about 3-4 fruits per week. People with fatty liver, high liver enzymes or moderate to severe liver disease should limit eating eggs.
