According to a study conducted by the Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, a fourth coronavirus vaccination does not significantly improve protection against infection with the virus.
Among those vaccinated with three doses, the probability of infection is 25%, and among those vaccinated with four doses – 18%-20%.
At the same time, an additional dose significantly reduces the likelihood of developing coronavirus symptoms when infected with the Omicron strain. If among the sick with three vaccinations the probability of the course of the disease with the manifestation of symptoms is 31% -41%, then among those vaccinated four times – only 15%.
The study involved 600 people who received three vaccinations, of which 270 received the fourth vaccination.
