Tenerife requests the postponement of the match against Deportivo due to strong winds

CD Tenerife has requested LaLiga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to postpone the matchday 19 of LaLiga Hypermotion scheduled for this Sunday at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López against RC Deportivo (9:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time) due to strong winds that will hit the island.

“This request has been made by the island club, in response to the declaration of maximum alert decreed by the Government of the Canary Islands due to “adverse meteorological phenomenon in the municipalities of the north and west of Tenerife, and also after the Island Council of Tenerife confirmed the implementation of the Island Emergency Plan in response to the maximum alert for strong winds issued by the AEMET, which includes the suspension of all activities scheduled during the day in the island property facilities,” the club reported.

The Cabildo of Tenerife has already suspended all sporting activities planned at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium due to the maximum alert and wind alert situation that affects the island and in which gusts of up to 120 km/hour are expected. This has been reported by the insular Corporation, which adds that the president, Rosa Dávila, has conveyed this situation to the president of the Tenerife Sports Club, Paulino Rivero.
