Alcaraz buys a yacht, a (millionaire) gift to ‘forget’ Sinner

Carlos Alcaraz buys a millionaire yacht. The Spanish tennis player, who watched Jannik Sinner’s triumph in Miami from the sofa, bought himself a 27 meter catamaran and around 10 million euros. A not bad ‘consolation’ after the surprise elimination in the American Masters 1000, where Alcaraz went out in the third round, allowing the Italian to move up in the ATP ranking.

Sunreef Yacht communicated the purchase of Alcaraz by publishing a video on its Instagram account portraying the Spanish tennis player on board the vessel: “A new journey begins. Alcaraz enters the world of yachts with the purchase of an ULTIMA 88 catamaran”.

“I realized how good I feel on a boat. I live near the sea, the climate helps, and at a certain point I felt that I wanted something of my own”, explained Alcaraz to SuperYacht Times, “my calendar is very full, so I need a place to turn off my mind and get away from tennis. On a boat I can be with the closest people without thinking about anything”.
