Ice hockey: Jesse Puljujärvi is called for a ban in Switzerland

In the final set of the match, the Finn was involved in a situation that caused emotions to heat up in the Friborg camp. A ban has even been demanded for Puljujärvi.

Puljujärvi tackled Fribourg’s defender Maximilian Streulea to the end. As a result of the violent situation, Streule was injured and no longer played in the match.

Fribourgin head coach Roger Rönnberg condemned the Finnish trick.

“I think it’s clearly a five-minute penalty. It was a head tackle on the wing,” said Rönnberg Blickille.

“The referees have the opportunity to check the situation on the video, but it was not done. I think Puljujärvi should be banned from the game.”

Rönnberg also said that he was worried about Streule’s condition after the tackle. Puljujärvi was not given any punishment for the situation.
