Lille-Lens: a Lille leader attacked by a Lens supporter at the end of the Northern derby

An hour after Lille’s big victory in the Northern derby against Lens (3-0), the tension had still not subsided. According to information from Voix du Nord, a manager of the Lille club was violently attacked leaving the stadium.

While trying to calm down the start of a fight, the man was hit by an individual who claimed to be a Lensois supporter. According to L’Équipe, the altercation continued in the parking lot, where the Sang et Or fan was waiting for the manager and his partner after discovering his accreditation during the initial fight. He then allegedly twisted her arm before headbutting her in the face.

The attacker was arrested and taken into police custody, admitting the facts. He was apparently heavily intoxicated and had no criminal record. The leader of the Dogues, who announced that he belonged to the Lille club during his intervention, was taken to the emergency room to be examined. A complaint was filed by Losc and the victim, who was treated on the head and hand.

However, the attacker will not appear before the Lille criminal court since he admitted the facts and agreed to appear upon prior admission of guilt. Prosecuted for aggravated violence with a temporary work ban (ITT) which does not exceed eight days, he will receive his sentence in the coming days.
