Araucariaone of the opponents of Paraná Club in the Second Division of the Paranaense Championship, announced, this Monday (6), the departure by mutual agreement of the coach Fabinho Cunha. The coach’s last match at the club from the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba (RMC) was the 3-1 home defeat to Patriotas, last Saturday (4).
With experience at Azuriz and Laranja Mecânica, in addition to the base of Avaí, Chapecoense and Londrina, Fabinho Cunha led Araucária in six matches, with one victory, three draws and two defeats. The team only won on their debut and has now gone five games without winning.
“The game itself doesn’t match the result. We had better possession, better opportunities, but we didn’t end in a goal. They took advantage of the opportunities they had and ended up winning the game”, said the coach, before announcing the departure.
Araucária’s campaign is marked by a 12-goal game against Rio Branco, in Paranaguá. The RMC team opened 6-2, but conceded four goals in the last 15 minutes and let the victory slip away.
In search of a new coach, Araucária is only eighth in the State Championship, with six points, the same score as Batel, which is in the relegation zone. The next match is away from home against Prudentópolis, on Sunday (12), at 3:30 pm.
Next, Araucária faces Paraná Clube and wants to take the match to Vila Capanema. The club from the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba (RMC) understands that it would be an opportunity to earn more money from the income from the match.
The articulation still depends on the approval of the Paraná Football Federation (FPF). Araucária’s idea is to repeat what was done in the last round against Rio Branco, when they played as home team at their rival’s home.
