KSC and coach Eichner are parting ways after the season

According to a report, the second division soccer team Karlsruher SC wants to part ways with coach Christian Eichner early after the season. According to information from “Bild”, the decision to separate in the summer was discussed internally over Easter. Eichner, who has been a coach at KSC since February 2020, is actually under contract until 2027.

The “Badische Neuesten Nachrichten” had previously reported on rumors that the 43-year-old could possibly leave the club after the season – and also brought an alleged successor candidate for the coaching position into play: According to this, the KSC has looked at Tobias Strobl, who is currently playing for promotion with SC Verl, fourth in the third division.

The KSC is currently in ninth place in the table and no longer has a chance of getting involved in the promotion race.
